What Stops the Businessmen from Helping the Opposition?

The Opposition Unity says that they lack on funds for the campaign. They’re having difficulties on trying to get donations from friends since their “wealthy friends” especially the businessmen are afraid. Mayor JV Ejercito stated that last night on an interview. I wonder what makes the businessmen stopped from helping them. What are they afraid for?
